Kurtz Wedding Album {Bryan-College Station Wedding Photographer}

Just a quick post to show off a few pages from Audra and Justin’s wedding album. The evolution of wedding albums has been incredible. When I got married, I went to the local Hallmark store, found a wedding album that had clear acetate holders and put my 6 8×10′s and 4 or 5 5×7′s in it and voila, that was it! Of course, at the time, I thought it rocked. Nowadays, we can design albums to tell the entire story of your wedding; with color, texture, brushes and a whole slew of other design techniques. Anyway, designing albums can be a lot of fun.

Baby, oh Baby! No Wining Here…{Bryan-College Station Baby Photographer}

I love great vistas and beautiful locations and have always enjoyed the ability to travel with my camera; combine that with a genuine love for babies and I am in “photography heaven”. Two weeks ago we spoke with Karen and Paul who wanted us to do their portraits in their home and at Messina Hof Winery. What a fabulous location! I could feel my creative juices starting to flow. Little Baby S was just amazing and so alert at 10 weeks old. Karen and Paul were moving into their new home when their little one was an infant so they missed out on the opportunity to have a newborn session. However, I think we were able to fulfill their portrait needs with a beautiful family portrait that they will display in their new living room and some sweet memories of their new little one that they are going to use to decorate their bedroom and their little one’s bedroom. So many people don’t realize that portraits are wonderful pieces of art that can complement the furnishings in your home. I love that this family loved their portraits and came to us for their portrait needs. Thanks again, Paul and Karen. We look forward to working with you again in the future.

Kim and Josh both live in Corpus Christi right now but will be getting married in November. They came to us because we had shot a wedding of a friend of theirs, Jana Poehl Norwood. I was very honored. It was fun getting to know them while we were wandering through the gorgeous backdrop of the Antique Rose Emporium. (BTW, one of my favorite places to shoot engagements and bridals.) I hope you all enjoy a few images from their engagement shoot. Also, a special thanks to my friend and assistant Daniela, who helped out.

Some of you may remember my niece, Courtney Allen from her boudoir session earlier in the year. Well, this year she is graduating from Texas A&M (can I hear a whoop?) and here are a few images from her Campus session. Courtney will graduate from the Mays College of Business and will be spending several months in Buenos Aires, Argentina after graduation. Congratulations Courtney, TAMU Seniors 2010.

I recently had the privilege of meeting the cutest family. I have always wished to have real red hair and when I found out that all four in the family were red-heads well, my heart just went pitter-patter! Tracie and Patrick have the cutest kids and I must thank my very good friend Tamara for referring them to me. Please enjoy!

Christina+Graham= Fun on the Quad {Bryan-College Station Engagement Photographer}

I’m a bit behind on my posts but honestly people, it’s been a busy, busy summer. But enough with the excuses…I want you to meet Christina and Graham both from Killeen, Texas. Christina and Graham both attend Texas A&M and will be graduating next spring. Graham is a member of the Fightin’ Texas A&M Corp of Cadets and will be a senior in Company I-1 (the Ords). Christina and Graham wanted a session that reflected their Aggie Spirit and the places that meant a lot to both of them. The Quad was a natural setting for the majority of their session. Graham even told us how he proposed to Christina on the Quad in front of his dorm with the guys from his outfit standing at parade rest around her. I love stories like that.

There are times as a photographer that you just really look forward to shooting a session. That’s how I feel when Blake’s mommy schedules his appointments. For his 9 month old session, I wanted to try out a new beach backdrop and Blake’s mom was all for it. I’m always worried that a new set will be a flop but I think Blake did it justice. I only wish we could have brought in sand and for about 5 minutes I really considered it but Tiffany reminded me that he puts everything in his mouth so…….no sand!

Blake and his family had just gotten back from a coastal vacation (the best kind there is) and come to find out, Blake is a real beach bum. Tiffany told me he sat at the water’s edge with his dad and loved having the waves wash up on him. Well Blake, sorry we couldn’t provide you with the sand and the waves but it looks like you had a really good time.

Before the wedding rush started, this beautiful couple and their gorgeous little one came in for her newborn session. Little Miss Hannah had the sweetest smile and the most precious little fingers and toes. Hannah slept through the first part of our session and then was wide awake for the rest of the session. This past Sunday afternoon I met up with my good friend, Sheree Boegner of Sassy Sheree’s to shoot some pictures of her for a banner. Sheree does facials, health and beauty coaching, and massages and gets results. I am on a 6 month program with her and my skin is glowing. Check out some pics of her in downtown Bryan.
